I appreciate these moments where I can get away from life and focus on living.”

TJ Thorne

Let’s explore wildlife and the landscape together. Let us enjoy the simple things in life. Let us document the essence of who we are.

I love nature…

which is why I spend as much quality time as possible in the outdoors.

My wife Sonja and I decided to follow our passions. In 2020, I decided to quit my job I enjoyed after spending three decades as an executive in the corporate world.

Best. Decision. Ever.

I now spend most of my time with our dogs, out in nature and enjoying photography of animals, landscapes and whatever piques my interest. And when not outdoors, I love spending the hours dabbling around with software and with programming various apps to help make users lives just that little bit easier.

How was it possible for me to quit my job cold-turkey? If you are curious, you can check it out. I wrote an app to help others also achieve their dreams. You can find it in the Apple App Store – FIRE Financial Independence.

Fact 2

Already as a small boy, I enjoyed being outdoors, tolling around in nature, playing with our Labrador Retriever Rupert. I’ve always been a pretty severe dogaholic.

Fact 3

I enjoy the simple things in life. Spending time with famliy and friends, good food, beautiful landscapes, amazing wildlife. And enjoying time with the great people in our local camera club, the Fotoverein Sempach.

Fact 4

When not outdoors in nature, I love spending time with our dogs. And am very happy when I can take pictures of our furry friends. You can find a selection of my dog images here.
