Central Switzerland – or “Zentralschweiz” as it is locally known – is the region of the alpine foothills which is geographically the heart and historically the origin of Switzerland. It includes the cantons of Uri, Schwyz, Obwalden, Nidwalden, Lucerne and Zug. Being so close to the alps, it features many beautiful vistas and much to do and enjoy.
